What is the shelf life of your tape?

Shelf life is really dependent on the specific product that we are talking about. For instance, if you’re talking about conventional, PVC sealing tapes that are used a lot in many different industries, those typically have a shelf life of about six months. When you’re looking at most acrylic based tape products that are available, those are usually anywhere from one year to two years depending on the manufacturer. Typically it’s not that the one year shelf life tape is any less stable, it’s just that certain companies choose to limit their liability at one year rather than two. In general, the acrylic systems are extremely stable. Silicon based materials, depending on what they are, in terms of being self wound or come with release liners they can last anywhere from six months to 12 months.
