What temperatures can your tape handle?
Tapes do not all have the same temperature performance capability. Typically when you’re talking about adhesives that are made with rubber based adhesive systems, those tapes can be used anywhere from about -20 or -30 up to about 180 degrees on the top end.
With acrylic based systems, the temperature base expands and you’re able to get adhesive systems that are typically good from -20 up to about 400 fahrenheit on the top end.
There are some specific acrylics that can go down to about -40, but again -20 on the bottom end is about the rule.
Lastly, when you’re talking about silicone adhesive systems, those adhesive systems have the broadest temperature range. Those are good from about -100 to 500 fahrenheit on the top end.
